Description

Close by is Brixham, a pretty town with a beautiful working harbour, where fresh fish and local seafood can be bought, as well as gorgeous beaches and coastal paths at Berry Head. Completing the ’English Riviera’ is Paignton, a great family destination, with its long sandy beaches, famous zoo and steam railway for nostalgic trips through the Dart Valley to Kingswear Station. Inland, there are a myriad historic castles, stately homes and magnificent gardens to visit, whilst Dartmoor’s rugged beauty beckons keen walkers and cyclists, and the picturesque villages and gloriously pretty countryside of the South Hams invite exploration.
